However, it provides structured guidance toward becoming a licensed instructor, along with access to curriculum resources, effective classroom teaching strategies, state board preparation techniques, and mentorship for those seeking to become hair show educators.

Instructor Mentorship Program – Cosmetology & Nail Technology
The Instructor Mentorship Program provides comprehensive training for licensed cosmetologists and nail technicians who aspire to teach in beauty schools, trade shows, and continuing education settings.

Participants will learn how to effectively teach hair cutting, nail technology, and state board preparation, along with marketing strategies, lesson plan development for beauty show submissions, and techniques for pitching educational opportunities. The program includes access to the Milady curriculum and guidance on both online and in-person instruction.

Licensed cosmetologists will receive training to become instructors in cosmetology and nail technology. Licensed nail technicians will receive training to teach nail technology and prepare for licensure as an instructor. Both programs include student teaching, hands-on classroom training, and opportunities to attend hair shows.

Graduates will gain confidence teaching in beauty schools, trade shows, and continuing education environments. Participants who successfully complete the program may be considered for instructional opportunities at CC’s Beauty Institute, should positions become available.
​
Participants may be granted a 12-month Student Instructor Temporary License, allowing them to teach under the direct supervision of CC’s Beauty Institute LLC. Student instructors may teach in any profession in which they hold an underlying license.

Program schedule is based on the nail technology current class. Class meets for nine weeks Sunday-Tuesday.
